http://radquer.ch/de/resultate/1281/GP_5_Sterne_Region__F_Frauen.html
Mein 9.

US woman triathlon, SanDiego
Sprint triathlon in SanDiego
http://uswts.com/
very nice to have this great event just a couple of minutes from the house.
it was my last hard workout before the worlds in Maui.
1100 women joined the sprint and super sprint competition, was very friendly and well organised.
the weather was not so good, kind of rain and made the course slippery.
Lesley Paterson won, second Rachel Challis, me third.
now it's time for the island!

US championship, Odgen Utah

was a hard race in this lovely area.the weather was perfect, a bit fresh in the morning, but blue sky and nice temperature.
after a slow wetsuit swim I tried to catch up on the bike. I pushed hard and worked up to the 7th. on the run I was struggeling, passed Christine J., then she passed me, I passed Sara T. and finally finished 6th.
Melanie won, second Lesley, third Shonny, fourth Jenny, fith Christine.
this race was not the best one of the season.
but it was an important race for the us serie.
I'm very happy about my third place in the us serie.
1th Shonny, 2th Melanie, 4th Emma, 5th Christine.
more results;www.xterraplanet.com
Thanks for the great support I had while racing the us champs.
Jane Garrard, Andrew Pridgen, our neighbour Bill and a few more.
It was wonderful to see the us xterra family again, and I enjoyed the time very much.
hope to see you in Maui.

US champs preparation in Park City

it's very good to be back here in Park City, staying and training with Emma G., Andrew P. and their dog Kip.
I love the area.
it's automn time here, fresh temperature in the morning, the colors of the trees very intensive, every day the nature is looking different,
wonderful to ride and run on the trails.
training with Emma is going very well. unfortunately she is not able to run at the moment, but swimming and riding together is great and so much easier to get through the hard sessions.
last Thursday we rode all the way down from Park City to Salt Lake City, yeah.

last Thursday we rode all the way down from Park City to Salt Lake City, yeah.
after that ride we did a hike with the Tuna kids (cross country skiers, coached by Emma).
I was impressed how fit these little kids are. Ben, a seven years old boy, was walking up the big hill super strong and specially downhill. I tried to keep up with him, and the result I have got the next day, muscle ache !

next Saturday the US Xterra champs are going on, in Odgen.
I'm looking forward to give my best, and to have a better race there than last year. my memories of it are painful. I had no time to acclimate. was suffering from the swim till the last meter of the run.
the course is super nice, also super hard, just going up, up, up!

Xterra Switzerland

Thanks to the Xterra Switzerland crew!
Great to see the smiling faces of the athlets and spectators.
I raced hard as possible, Marion passed me on the second lap of the run and won the race.
She was stronger and deserved the victory.
Third was Emma R. Smith.

Gerardmer, olympischer Triathlon

.jpg)
3800 startende triathleten in Gerardmer.

Villacidro, training and racing in Sardegna

Villacidro, Sardegna
this little, lovely village is organising one of the best offroad triathlon in Europe.
I arrived yesterday and will stay a couple of days to train and to join the races.
On Sunday is the offroad triathlon, on Saturday is the kids race, the duathlon and the aquathlon.
The worlds in Maui are in less than 8 weeks. I like to get ready for it.
Villacidro is a good place to train for it. Mtbiking here is similar and the heat is defently like in Maui. Just no beach, but a beautiful lake, and you can drink this water without problem.
People are very nice and helpful. Today a young local, called Claudio, rode with me for a while (till he had to go to work !?!).
a presto

Eigerbike Challenge Grindelwald, 4.Rang
and it was raining, raining and
raining again!
together with my brother I went to the Eigerbike Challenge in Grindelwald this morning, to race the 55km / 2500hm mtb marathon.
planed for this weekend was to race Xterra Germany, but unfortunately this race has been cancelled, because of the big rain the week before.
we had an early start, so we had to leave the house while it was still dark outside, and it was raining.
it's never easy to leave the heated car, to warm up, to get out on the course and to get wet, dirty and cold. it was good to had my big bro with me, he throw me out of the car!!!
right after the start we nearly had a big crash, because one person was not awake !
the first big hill took me about 55min, and I felt not so good.
when my brother passed me on the uphill, I recognised, ups I should hurry up ! I tried to go harder, but I could not. had frozen fingers and feet. no really an excuse, I was not the only one suffering of the cold.
in my mind I started to give up and to return to the warm car, to have a nice coffee and a nap. then my brother looked back a few times. it looked like he was waiting for me. I could not give up and had to keep riding. after 2,5hours I started to feel better and started to pass other athlets, also my brother. he looked not good at all, but I could not tell him that. a smile and a quick comment about his muddy face and the warm shower at the finish was enough for that moment.
finally we both finished under 4hours and have been happy. Baenz placed 94th, I finished 4th. my Stoeckli team mates raced very well; Urs won, Thomas 4th on the long course (88km), Koni 2th on the 55km course.
was very tired after the race and everything was dirty, wet.... and asked myself, why I'm doing that;
now being back home, after a warm shower, a nice dinner, I can answer it; It makes me happy. I love racing and riding, having great people around me, like my brother Baenz!
more news of living and racing in Switzerland soon.
just please send me some sun!

top drei frauen; 2.Marion Lorblanchet, 3. Emma Ruth Smith
liebe gruesse

2.Rang Triathlon Alpe d'Huez

1,2km schwimmen
30km Rennrad
7km

Xterra Avigliana

I loved the race there and specially the gorgous village of Avigliana with the typical Piemontese ambiance.
The course was a taff one; long swim in the lake (no wetsuit), 3laps to bike, 4laps on the run, including a lot of climbing and running up a long stair to the stone monument.
We had two transition, one down on the lake, the other one in the middle of the village. The field was small (100 athlets), just perfect. Nearly everbody finished the race and the pasta party was right after the race, instead of the night before; why not !?
Good food and talks till waiting the last finisher and the prize celebration.
I enjoyed the race and the time very much.
And the funny thing was; I have got a big post (ATTENZIONE BUCHE r) on the prize celebration. The sign means; attention hole (it was on the bike course). They put an extra R on the sign and gave it to me.
Italians are funny,
I really like them.
tante salutti a tutti

Bike Masters Kueblis, 2.Rang
Weitere News folgen bald,

Xterra France, Xonrupt

Spannendes Rennen in Xonrupt
Merci beaucoup!
